Registered Social Worker
Cherry is a Registered Social Worker with British Columbia College of Social Workers (BCCSW), also a mental health clinician at Vancouver Coastal Health Authority, providing therapy in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
Cherry works with clients of all ages and background, specializing in children and youth. She offers a space that is supportive, non-judgmental and empathetic. Her person-centered approach fosters client to feel safe and comfortable on sharing their feelings, thoughts, experiences, values and belief. Her areas of focus includes emotional distress, stress coping, anxiety, depression, relationships, anger management and parenting.
Cherry completed her Master of Social Work degree from The University of Hong Kong with clinical experience and trainings on modalities including Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Satir Family Model, Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Mindfulness-based Approach, Expressive Art Therapy and Play Therapy with children.
